Homeschooling with Dyslexia
Homeschooling a Dyslexic Child
Homeschooling has its unique challenges, and one of those challenges is determining if your child is struggling more than typical, and why. At Aspire Academy we understand and respect your choice to homeschool. We have tutors who have been homeschooled as well as tutors who were homeschool parents. We want to support your decision, and provide you the tools you need to be successful. Sometimes children need extra support. We can show you the way to give it to them.
Is your child struggling with reading? Is school work always a battle?
Dyslexia could be the root cause. Start with our free dyslexia symptom checklist to see if your child is showing the major warning signs of dyslexia. If they have a high score, you can schedule a free parent consultation for more information into their symptoms. At Aspire, our goal is to empower parents with children who have dyslexia to learn how to provide quality Orton-Gillingham instruction at home.
What is Orton-Gillingham?
Orton-Gillingham is an evidence-based method of literacy instruction. It is structured, sequential, cumulative, explicit, multisensory, and systematic. Learn more about the Orton-Gillingham method here.
We provide tutoring & assistance for children in ALL 50 states in the United States.
