Readers Theater – Basketball on Jackson Street

Convincing struggling readers to repeatedly read decodable text can be a test of wills.  But give them a play to act out, and now the situation has turned repeated reading into something fun!  Research shows that repetition and repeated reading helps struggling students become fluent readers (Shanahan, 2017)
